Only a global view that considers the real load of a speaker leads to valid results. An ideal amplifier must be stable regardless of the load seen and must provide constant amplification with zero phase shifts on all frequencies and at any power.
This should be done without excessive signal paths or “tricks” that are often used in transistor technology such as excessive negative and high feedback.
gains or, worse, with the correction of the signal itself through DC decoupling networks.
These amplifiers would be perfect for measuring benches but then, almost always, they behave worse when listening than a supermarket radio. The
purpose of ELEMENT 302 is to guarantee a very linear and fast amplification, without alterations, providing high supply currents and always quickly available on the load ensuring total control over the speakers minimizing queues and resonances from which most amplifiers suffer with a consequent sound “dirt” impossible to keep at bay with poor quality amplifications or made with vacuum tubes.
IN / OUT CONNECTIONS
• 1 pair of balanced XLRs
• 1 pair of RCAs
• One pair of WBT speaker terminals
• XLR / RCA switch to adapt the source input
• 1 VDE 10 A power socket.
• Trigger for automatic switching on from sources equipped with this connection or from the Pre C201
STADIUM INPUT
Via HDCA version 3. It is the first stage for interfacing with the actual amplifier and processes both balanced and single ended signals. We have given particular importance to this section as it is the first approach towards a perfect sound rendering. Also for this section the power supplies are separated and stabilized. Furthermore, the HDCA modules are interchangeable and can be updated to future versions that we will release, allowing you to have a machine that is always up to date with the new sound recording and reproduction technologies.
INDICATORS ON THE FRONT
ILP (intelligent lock power) to monitor the operation of the amplifier.
THL to signal the intervention of the thermal protections
ST_BY for the stand-by
MECHANICAL CONSTRUCTION
12mm steel chassis reinforced with ribs at critical points to minimize vibrations. The front panel is in 10 mm anticorodal aluminum.
FINISH
Chassis and heat sinks painted with special heat and scratch resistant polymers.
