OPHIDIAN VOODOO Walnut finish τιμή ζεύγους.
When Hendrix and co finally hit their stride in the second half of Voodoo Chile, you’re not hearing a delineated soundscape from a distance with a critical ear, but living a visceral musical experience defined by a relatable scale, the effortless force and finesse of unfettered dynamics, supple, weighty bass that breathes, stereo without obvious boundaries. It’s a perceptual reset that once heard is hard to forget. – David Vivian, HiFi Choice (issue 490)

VOODOO is a floorstanding loudspeaker capable of powering even the largest rooms with ease. Key to its impressive sense of scale is the combination of dual 265mm (10.5″) bass drivers and our unique AEROFLEX bass system.
Each bass driver features a rigid aluminium cone driven by a motor system containing three shorting rings which help reduce distortion to extremely low levels.
The bass drivers have a linear movement of over an inch and coupled with AEROFLEX they can produce vast amounts of detailed and accurate bass.
The plinth upon which VOODOO sits is individually CNC machined from a solid block of aluminium.
Weighing 11kg it provides a stable and solid base for the speaker to work from.

A 22mm Sonomex soft dome tweeter provides smooth and detailed high frequencies for an enveloping listening experience that won’t tire your ears out.
All of the components used in the crossover circuits are from industry leaders Mundorf. Air cored coils and ultra-low distortion capacitors ensure each driver can deliver its absolute maximum performance.
The 180mm (7″) mid-bass driver features an aluminium cone and solid alloy phase plug and features a motor system with twin shorting paths for very low distortion.
The performance of the critical midband is further enhanced by mounting the rear of the driver within a hidden sub-enclosure. By isolating the mid-bass driver not once but twice the external walls of the cabinet cannot colour the sound.
The binding post inputs are from world leaders WBT and feature conductors made of high purity copper, plated in 24 carat gold with a chromium finish.
Ophidian was founded in 2011 with the goal of producing high quality British made loudspeakers that outperform their physical dimensions.
All Ophidian loudspeakers feature the unique AEROFLEX bass topology which ensures clean and accurate bass reproduction from even from the smallest of cabinets.
Every cabinet is hand built in Sheffield, England with assembly and quality checking completed at Ophidian HQ on the Wirral in North West England.
Hundreds of hours of design, prototyping, measurement and listening tests have gone into creating each Ophidian loudspeaker. I hope you enjoy the final result!

AEROFLEX is a unique bass loading method that enables even the most compact cabinets to deliver clean, accurate bass.
Ported or reflex speakers, as they are often commonly known, re-use what would otherwise be wasted energy from the rear of the bass driver to boost the low frequencies.
Unfortunately in most systems the size of the port is inadequate and at high volumes or even during just short musical peaks unwanted noise and distortion occurs.
By utilising a much larger and longer port system AEROFLEX drastically lowers air velocity, properly controlling the driver throughout its stroke. This greatly enhances dynamic range and ensures the speaker produces the same tonal balance at both high and low volume levels.
The port is built into the cabinet itself enhancing structural rigidity which in turn improves the quality of the midrange.
The electrical crossovers in all Ophidian loudspeakers use components from industry leaders Mundorf of Germany including audiophile grade capacitors, pure oxygen free copper coils and metal-oxide film resistors.
The use of such high quality components ensures that signal integrity is preserved from beginning to end and music sounds as it should.
All Ophidian loudspeakers feature drive units designed to deliver music as free from distortion and colouration and as naturally as possible.
The tweeter units, from renowned manufacturer SEAS of Norway, feature Sonolex coated fabric diaphragms providing a detailed yet smooth performance that is easy to listen to for long periods.
