The LINEA is the most demanding floorstanding loudspeaker as well as the first three-way system by Aliante. With similar premises, it goes without saying that the contents of this project are particularly relevant. From the first glance, the LINE shows a character, an out of the ordinary personality: it certainly does not run the risk of being confused with any of the countless products that crowd the market. It was precisely the desire not to make a trivial or worse still ungainly object that for so long held back the realization of a system of considerable size, even if the market insisted on it. It is not difficult to imagine the complexity of the processing required by such an original piece of furniture, where the reference surface is a curve; also the grille, an integral part of

The whole is however of fascinating elegance: not a bulky tool to be hidden in some way but a piece of furniture to be proudly displayed in your home. But as always we have not limited ourselves to creating a beautiful object as the solutions adopted also have undeniable technical values: the shape of the front, the position of the transducers, the attention to avoid unwanted vibrations and resonances, all contribute to the typical sound. of the Aliante production. In the case of the LINEA we have tried to make these sound qualities easily usable, creating a system that does not require the experience of an inveterate audiophile to offer the best performance. There are therefore no large woofers that radiate directly into the environment with consequent difficulties to manage their emission and to position the diffusers; our system, from this point of view, can be considered more a two-way with sub-woofer than a traditional three-way. To achieve this result, the mid-woofer was specially developed by Aliante and made in Italy with custom materials. This transducer uses a particularly light and musically performing membrane in fine selected fiber paper, with a highly compliant rubber suspension and die-cast basket.

Al posto del parapolvere troviamo la ormai consueta ogiva dei woofer Aliante, dal profilo particolare, in alluminio tornito. Il sub-woofer e’ realizzato dalla VIFA: si tratta di un componente eccellente, con membrana in carta rinforzata rigidissima, sospensione in gomma, cestello pressofuso, bobina mobile da 40 mm. con supporto in Kapton, magnete da ben 700 g. di peso, ottimizzato per forti escursioni . Montato in doppio carico reflex assicura un basso esteso e potente con una dinamica impressionante, nonostante il volume di lavoro relativamente modesto.

The tweeter membrane is in very light impregnated fabric, for a diameter of 28 mm., the magnet is 75 mm., shielded, and the mobile assembly uses ferrofluid to improve dissipation and damping. This component is capable of a fast and detailed response without ever becoming annoying and despite the not too small diameter it offers excellent dispersion. The high quality of the transducers used allows us to use a first order crossover (6 dB / oct.) Without any compensation network, a solution particularly appreciated in the “audiophile” sector.

Furthermore, the circuit topologies and the implementation techniques take into account the precious experiences gained in years of realizations known for their exceptional musicality. Even the passive components are of great quality. The ACOUSTICAL AUDIOCAP PPFF capacitors in polypropylene film & foil as well as the special anti-inductive resistors are produced to our specifications and stand out for their excellent musical qualities; even the cable is quite particular and is made starting from a conductor for high performance computer networks (CAT. 6 Plus).
