ONE SW (solid wood) is Aliante’s proposal for those who are fascinated by clean lines, harmonious shapes, modeled surfaces and still do not want to give up the beauty and warmth of precious wood. The result is a splendid object, a balanced synthesis of very modern stylistic ideas, of craftsmanship in woodworking and finishing as well as avant-garde technique. An object that not only enters fully into the ranks of the highest class loudspeakers but does not look bad in the most exclusive furnishings. The ONE SW cabinet is a jewel of which we are rightly proud; is made with MDF and solid walnut or cherry in thicknesses ranging between 35 and 60 mm, worked with high precision CNC machines and assembled by means of very tight tolerance joints. But it is not just a beautiful object as none of its elegant shapes is due to chance: the edges are rounded to minimize diffraction, the front panel inclined to optimize the phasing of the components, the area near the shaped tweeter suitably to improve dispersion and reduce the “baffle” effect. Finishing is an exercise in skill for true experts; in particular, our artisans are true masters of ancient tradition. the front panel inclined to optimize the phasing of the components, the area near the tweeter suitably shaped to improve dispersion and reduce the “baffle” effect. Finishing is an exercise in skill for true experts; in particular, our craftsmen are true masters of ancient tradition. the front panel inclined to optimize the phasing of the components, the area near the tweeter suitably shaped to improve dispersion and reduce the “baffle” effect. Finishing is an exercise in skill for true experts; in particular, our artisans are true masters of ancient tradition.
The transducers are specially designed and manufactured to our specifications by two of the best European manufacturers (SEAS and SCANSPEAK). The woofer uses a membrane made with a newly formulated polymer and is characterized at first sight by a rather unusual ogive, the result of a long research and development work. This device allows to optimize the performance in the medium range without introducing colors, to perfectly focus the sound image and to improve the dissipation of the entire electromagnetic complex. In the woofer in question, the ogive is made by turning in pure copper, a very expensive material which, however, enhances its function, especially as regards the dissipation effect of the heat produced by the voice coil. The soft dome tweeter is a SCANSPEAK D 2905 with a new membrane in silky fabric, hand-treated with a particular procedure, in several steps, which allows perfect damping without increasing the mass, to the benefit of the response speed. The high quality of the transducers used allows us to use a first order crossover (6 dB / oct.) Without any compensation network, a solution particularly appreciated in the “audiophile” sector. Furthermore, the circuit topologies and implementation techniques take into account the valuable experiences gained in years of realizations known for their exceptional musicality. Even the passive components are of great quality; SOLO CFAC inductors are made with a thin OFC copper ribbon, ACOUSTICAL AUDIOCAP PPFF capacitors in polypropylene film & foil as well as the special anti-inductive resistors are produced to our specifications and are distinguished by excellent musical qualities, the cable is made starting from a multi-wire for high performance computer networks. The four input terminals allow any type of connection; the complete separation of the masses allows both bi-wiring (highly recommended) and possible bi-amping.
