Description
- Cork & Rubber Platter Mat LP Slip Mat Audiophile 3mm Anti-Static.
- The composite layer absorbs resonances and vibrations .
- cork and rubber turntable mat will provide sonic improvement across the board.
- You will experience blacker background, cleaner and sharper imaging, improved dynamic range, and tighter bass response. Suitable for all good quality turntables.
- As this uses a composite cork granule with a rubber mix these mats are harder wearing than a standard cork mat, which can easily rip and they have the added benefit of being heavier, so will sit flatter on your turntable deck.
- Cork Granules bonded with a Rubber composite matrix to a thickness of 3mm and an outer diameter of 295mm
- · Constructed of compressed cork and rubber
· Improves sound quality playback with the material’s dampening qualities (less vibrations)
· Less / Helps eliminate static electricity on your records
· Grips record better than standard felt mats
· Works with all turntables (works best on metal platters)
- The interaction between the record and the surface can be tracked very easily by the sensitivity of a cartridge. Felt mats provide contact between records and platter with the disadvantage of static.
- Felt mats often collect a lot of dust which can be then transferred to the record. Also the damping ability is limited which can be a problem with metal platters.
- Thick rubber mats over damp the record and have an isolation effect leaving the static on the record and audible noise clicks as a result.
- Leather and Cork are two different but very interesting options to upgrade sound quality.
- Resonances are damped more effectively than felt, they keep dust away and they have also enough contact to avoid static. What is better depends on taste and the actual platter design.
- Turntable mats can make vinyl sound clearer with greater separation and detail. Both cork and rubber are known to dampen and absorb unwanted vibration, Hudson Hi-Fi’s CoRkErY composite cork/rubber mat works remarkably on turntables, particularly on steel and lightweight turntable platters, due to its highly non-resonant properties.
- Significant reduction in static and dust. Tightens mid & low bass for greater punch + enhances the smallest details & emotions. Enhances bass response. Premium composite material ensures maximum strength and durability for long lasting usage. The sound is delicate, the high and low frequencies are extended, and the sound field is positioned accurately.
- Features Provides dampening of resonance from metal turntable platters.
- Turntable mat upgrades Turntable mat upgrades provide a significant improvement to record sound quality.
- As the single point of contact between a record and turntable platter; mats are an effective way to enhance your turntable playback experience. Platter mats absorb vibration energy in a unique way, ultimately enabling a stylus to make improved contact with the grooves on a record.
