Fosi Audio Luna3: Playback architecture and mechanical stability

The Luna3 features a 300mm acrylic platter, whose inertia stabilises rotation at 33 and 45 rpm, thereby minimising pitch fluctuations and ensuring smooth playback. This base is paired with an 8.6-inch aluminium tonearm, whose controlled rigidity guides the pre-installed Audio-Technica VM95E cartridge, enabling precise tracking of the groove whilst keeping distortion to a minimum thanks to its elliptical profile.

This mechanical consistency, combined with a signal-to-noise ratio of approximately 65dB, demonstrates effective control of vibrations and background noise, ensuring stable sound reproduction without the need for any specific corrective measures.

Fosi Audio Luna3: System integration and scalability

The Luna3 delivers an analogue signal via its RCA output, featuring a design without a built-in preamplifier in order to maintain a direct, unprocessed signal, which means it must be paired with an external phono stage for amplification and integration with the rest of the system. This approach allows you to build a coherent audio system based on your chosen components, whilst maintaining a simple structure focused on analogue reproduction.

The system is completed by an automatic stop function at the end of playback, which halts rotation to minimise wear on the diamond stylus and the record, thereby ensuring safe use and seamless integration into a home hi-fi system.
